During November 12-14, 2012, COERR staff with Enfants du Mekong volunteer, Ms. Flavie Lauvernier, have visited the sponsored children in Sakaew and Surin Provinces. Under the child sponsorship program, 140 poor children have received monthly subsidy which enable them to go to school without worrying about personal expenses, meals and clothing. During their visit to schools and children’s houses, they were welcome by the family members including parents who are happy that the sponsorship has greatly reduced the financial burden of their children’s education.
